The Dormobile range of campers used a side elevating roof
also known as the Martin Walter roof and is easily recognised
by the two glass windows and two opening vents in the fibreglass
elevating part.
The plastic bellows were a red and white or green and white
striped plastic material and on the inside had plastic tags
to attach four hoops that gave the bellows shape when the roof
was elevated.
Elevating roof bellows
Our elevating roof bellows are made in a range of
plastic materials that come in plain or striped designs,
all seams are high frequency welded to ensure they
are watertight.
Bellows have internal straps with press studs to attach
the bellows to the support hoops and the corners have
gussets as on the original for strength.
Due to the shape of the roof bellows our recommendation
for the uk climate is that plastic bellows perform
best, however we also make a replacement bellows in
canvas, these have the advantage that canvas breathes
so are suitable for campers that will mainly be used
in sunny climates.
